Despite the extensive rail system and bus lines, massive freeways had to be built to support the civilian motor traffic. Century Station has three major freeways in the metro area:
Route 7: runs along the to of Rattle Ridge
Route 273: runs through the city and curves around the The Labyrinth district
Route 918: which runs through the Society Hill part of town
These double-decker roadways see a lot of traffic accidents, especially in merging areas, which have prompted many civic leaders to take down elevated portions.
Traffic throughout the District of Century Station is insanely thick and hazardous, espescially in the heavily populated areas, as people drive at breakneck speeds with little to no sense of road etiquette. Road rage, violent crime committed by frustrated drivers, is soaring, in large part because traffic patterns make getting in and out of the city a major expedition.
